Coaching with Sean M. Smith
Practical, developmental coaching for people who want clearer priorities, workable decisions, and a deliberate next step. Not psychotherapy.
Who this is for
This coaching is for functioning people who want more clarity in how they lead, decide, and show up. Common starting points include a leadership challenge, competing priorities, a difficult decision, a transition, a communication pattern that is not working, or a goal that needs a realistic plan.
This is developmental coaching, not clinical treatment. If therapy or crisis care is what you need, we will say so and point you toward the right kind of help.
Common areas of work
- Leadership challenges and how you show up under pressure
- Competing priorities and decision clarity
- Transitions at work or at home
- Communication that needs to get clearer
- Turning a goal into a workable plan
How coaching works
- Start with a conversation. We talk about what you want to work on, what useful would look like, and whether coaching through playBGT is a fit.
- Define the work. We name the real constraints, focus on what matters most, and agree on a clear direction for the sessions.
- Leave with something usable. Each session aims at practical takeaways you can carry forward, not a vague sense that you talked things through.
We’ll discuss format and pricing before anything is scheduled.
What a session looks like
We start with what you are carrying and what would actually help. From there the work stays practical: we name the real constraints, choose a small number of deliberate next actions, and you leave with a concise written summary you can use after the session.
- Sort what is actually on your plate
- Practical takeaways you can carry forward
- A small set of next actions, not a long list
Boundaries
This coaching is not psychotherapy, diagnosis, or crisis care. Participation in coaching through playBGT does not establish a counselor-client or psychotherapist-client treatment relationship.
Personal coaching and Board Game Therapy™ share some of the same principles, including structure, reflection, and intentional action, but they are separate services. Coaching sessions do not require a board game and are not TABLE group-facilitation sessions.
